Half a century after the establishment of the Irish Volunteers in 1913, Fr Louis O'Kane began a remarkable series of recordings with veterans of the Easter Rising and the Anglo-Irish War. These unique first-hand accounts have now been digitised and made accessible to a new generation as part of the Cardinal Tomás Ó Fiaich Memorial Library & Archive's work marking the decade of centenaries. The project has been generously supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
